What are the entry requirements?

Entry requirements are very simple. You need to have a road legal vehicle with 4 wheels and a drivers license. Anyone is welcome on this automotive adventure and we have structured this event in such a way that it is not a race but rather a group roadtrip. Driving enthusiasts can enjoy their car at their own pace with regrouping points along the way. There is absolutely no vehicle “approval process” and regardless of what you drive you will fit right in.

What is the format of the rally?

The format of the Cape to Karoo is intended to keep the trip manageable distances each day while still ensuring maximum driving enjoyment.
Day 1: Vehicles will depart from Cape Town and proceed along amazing driving roads before ending in Oudtshoorn where all entries will overnight.
Day 2: There are 3 optional driving excursions that will take place on Day 2. These excursions start and end in Oudtshoorn and are about 2 – 3 hours each. You can join some or all of the excursions as they run one after another with a small break between. All entries will overnight in Oudtshoorn again.
Day 3: Vehicles will depart from Oudtshoorn on a different scenic route, ending in Cape Town in the afternoon.
Each day will also have fun optional social activities.

Can I bring my stock standard family car?

Absolutely! If you enjoy driving and the open road then the Cape To Karoo is for you. The route is designed to be enjoyed with any road going vehicle regardless of class.

How do the stickers work?

In your entry pack you will receive a selection of  compulsory stickers that include some stickers from sponsors. You will also receive a diagram on where the stickers should be placed. If you would like to add stickers for your own company or a sponsor that is covering the costs of your rally, feel free to do so as long as it does not interfere with the sticker placement guidelines given in your entry pack.

What is the route?

We are keeping some of the route details hush hush but we can tell you that the rally will be starting just outside Cape Town towards Paarl and will be ending in Gordons Bay. It will cover a total of just under 1300km over 3 days.

How does registration and payment work?

If you have other requirements such as additional passengers , we encourage you to reach out to grant@automotiveexperiences.co.za and we will calculate an entry ticket cost according to your exact needs.
