Montagu Road Rally 2026 Start Time
The Montagu Road Rally is a non competitive, non timed, family friendly car enthusiast roadtrip taking place on 650km of tarmac roads from Cape Town to Montagu, ending in Hermanus. All cars and drivers are welcome to join and there is no vehicle selection process.
Some of the many highlights of the 2026 Montagu Road Rally that you can look forward to

Drivers will meet at a pre determined location on the outskirts of Cape Town where they will get a quick drivers briefing before departing at 8am
Between Cape Town and Paarl

Drivers will regroup for 15 minutes to prevent vehicles from being too spread out and to allow the media team to set up at their next photography points

Brunch stop after a beautiful mountain pass. Drivers will depart 1h30 after arriving at their brunch spot.

Regroup Point after 1 hour of driving to allow media teams to get into position.

Arrive in Montagu and check into accommodation. There will be several "free hours'' before the evenings social activity.

The evenings optional social activity where drivers will get a chase to meet each other and chat about the driving from the day.

Depart the beautiful Montagu via Kogmanskloof

Regroup for 15 minutes before heading through another beautiful mountain pass on the way to brunch.

Arrive at our end point in Hermanus where a quick prizegiving will be held.
An entry is for 1 vehicle with 2 people including accommodation. Accommodation options vary by economy and comfort. All accommodation options are excellent quality to suit your budget.
Please note: All meals while traveling are for your own account except breakfast if you have chosen the luxury option.
Once you have filled in a registration form you will receive an invoice which requires a 50% non refundable deposit to secure your entry. The remaining amount needs to be paid by the 31st of December. If you have other requirements such as additional passengers , we encourage you to reach out to grant@automotiveexperiences.co.za and we will calculate an entry ticket cost according to your exact needs.
